Napa might be known for its wine, but with great wine comes great food, beautiful sights and fun times. We've compiled our list of places to eat, see (or drink) and wear on your next adventure to this famous wine tasting destination.
Eat: We highly recommend Farmstead for amazing food and live music. The Goose and Gander burger is yum, Ad Hoc famous fried chicken is an addendum to the menu Thursday through Sunday and finally, Oenotri for amazing Italian. Also check out Solbar at Solage Calistoga. They make a killer spicy margaritas and is known as one of the best restaurants in Calistoga.
See (Drink): Continuum Estate is our favorite winery run by Carlo Mondavi and his family. It's a family affair - dad and son make the wine, sister Chiara painted the label and you'll want to do a full tour to see the 100 year old olive trees dedicated to grandpa Robert Mondavi. On a clear day you can see the ocean from their hilltop winery.
We also recommend a new intimate place called Phifer Pavitt. You'll feel super cozy and taste wines in their gorgeous upstairs "barn" tasting room.
Wear: Since we mostly just drink in Napa and don't shop (ha), we put together a couple items we recommend packing for the trip. Our Cotswald weekender is the perfect size for a long weekend.
Definitely pack a great pair of skinny jeans to take you from day to night. The weather can go from warm to cold quickly so we recommend layering a nice top (probably in a dark color to avoid red wine spills) and an open cardigan to easily take on and off as your temperature changes quickly from the wine consumption :).
We also recommend some comfy boots since you do some walking on the tours around the vineyards. Bring a dress for the nicer dinners you have planned with some heeled booties or heels and a leather jacker. Our San Remo bag makes the perfect addition since it goes from cross-body to clutch for all your weekend activities.
